Preparing For China National Day Holiday

The Peoples Republic of China was founded on October 1, 1949. Annual observance of this event occurs from October 1 through October 7 as China's National Day and one of the celebrated "golden weeks" in the Chinese calendar. Parades, concerts and fireworks are part of the week long celebration.

Liberty will gather schedules for office hours from our forwarding partners, detailing Customs hours and recommended cut off dates and times for any shipment requiring departure before the holiday. A detailed list of this schedule will be sent via Global Facts e-news next week.

Liberty recommends that importers contact their factories to determine the factory's hours of operation and to discuss booking arrangements for any order that must move before the holiday shut down.   Please contact our office in advance of the holiday to assist with booking arrangements for all priority orders.
