West Coast OCU Negotiations - Update

In an email to its customers, the Port of Los Angeles provided an update regarding OCU (union of West Coast office workers) negotiations with Maersk. Below is recap of that message:

"Contrary to what you may have read or heard over the last day or so, the Port Business Development Department met with senior management from the terminal currently in negotiation with the OCU.  We would like to clarify the following:  

1. Negotiations did not break off early on Wednesday but continued until 4 pm as planned
2. During the evening on Wednesday negotiations continued until Midnight
3. Both parties did meet today to discuss issues relevant to a new contract between the OCU and the Terminal Operator.  
4. There has been every indication that as of this writing the parties will continue to further discuss issues relevant to a new contract."
