Hyundai Announces Labor Unrest Surcharge

In the lead up to potential labor unrest at US East and Gulf Coast ports, Hyundai announced yesterday a $1000 / container "US Ports Congestion Surcharge" to take effect on October 1 to ..."cope with increasing risk of a strike or lockout at US Ports"... If no labor unrest occurs, the line advises that the charge will not be applicable.
