Paula Murphy, Direct, Massachusetts Export Center, is founder and director of the Massachusetts Export Center, part of the Massachusetts Small Business Development Center Network. She has over twenty years of international business experience in both the public and private sectors. Paula helps exporters through counseling, technical assistance, training, market research, and publication development. In addition, she has helped to organize several overseas marketing activities, such as trade shows and trade missions. Most recently, Paula has launched the Export Center's successful Compliance Alliance initiative, which provides a forum for exporting firms to share best practices and stay current on export regulatory compliance issues. In 2009, clients reported over $227 Million in export sales as a direct result of the Massachusetts Export Center's assistance.
Katherine Tufts, Director of International Trade Programs, Rhode Island Economic Development Corporation was Associate International Trade Director of the RIEDC's International Trade Office for 14 years, prior to being promoted to her current position. She is dedicated to helping Rhode Island businesses find solutions for their trade needs and increase their export productivity and profitability. She consults with companies and individuals on a daily basis on numerous trade related topics including export financing, logistics, compliance, and export sales. She has led and coordinated trade missions to Europe, China, India, South America, Mexico, Canada, the Caribbean, and the Middle East. Kathy received her MBA from the Thunderbird School of Global Management. She is a NASBITE Certified Global Business Professional and is highly proficient in Spanish
