TSA Carriers Announce GRI - Correction

The 15 carrier members of the Transpacific Stabliization Agreement (TSA) have announced the implementation of General Rate Increases for service provided from East Asia to the United States. The GRI, which came into effect on May 1, 2011, will be assessed at $400/40' to US West Coast Ports and $600/40' to all other US destinations. The GRI applies to both tariff and service contract rates.
The TSA carriers have also filed Peak Season Surcharges (PSS) which will be effective from June 15, 2011 through November 30, 2011. The PSS will be billed as follows: $320/20', $400/40' and $450/HQ containers. PSS for LCL cargo is expected to average at $6/CBM or $12/TON.
TSA carrier members include American President Lines, CSCL, CMA-CGM, COSCO Container Lines, Evergreen, Hanjin, Hapag-LLoyd, Hyundai, KLine, Maersk, Mediterranean Shipping, NYK, OOCL, Yang Ming and Zim.
