China Works to Reduce IPR Infringements

The Chinese government continues to make regular announcements regarding its efforts to reduce IPR infringements, in particular against globally well known brands.  Recent Immigration & Enforcement Team actions against Chinese counterfeiting rings and major brand pressure by companies like Louis Vuitton have the China government issuing press releases emphasizing their preliminary investigations into intellectual property infringements in China.  Chairman of the Quality Brands Protection Committee stated that IPR legislation is becoming transparent, enforcement has improved and China will continue to implement new IPR protections to create a better investment climate for foreign companies in China.
