Rail Condition - Update May 5, 2011
Liberty International continues to receive rail condition updates from the BNSF (Burlington Northern Santa Fe) and UP (Union Pacific) Railroads.
The BNSF is reporting that weather conditions in the Arkansas and Memphis, Tennessee areas continue to improve. In Black Rock, Arkansas the Thayer Subdivision is operating with limited service, due to washed out roadways which are currently being repaired. Delays of 24 - 36 hours can continue to be expected. In Memphis intermodal traffic is improving. Delays to Memphis continue to be expected but should be cleared quickly, barring any future severe weather.
The UP is reporting their tracks in the Little Rock, Arkansas area are up and running without delays.
