About Kay

Kay has a B.S. Degree in Industrial Technology with emphasis in Electronics. She is currently enrolled in Grad School earning her MA in Spiritual Psychology. After traveling to India in May 2010, where she was deeply inspired, she founded the American Academy of Hand Analysis (AAHA). Prior to opening the AAHA, she served as an Associate Faculty with the International Institute of Hand Analysis (IIHA) where she practiced and taught hand and fingerprint analysis.

Her life's work for more than 20 years has been devoted to studying, practicing and guiding others toward deep self awareness. Kay is on a quest to inspire everyone toward personal empowerment through awakening and illuminating their inner Truth.

Greetings!

It's fun to hear from you after sending out my newsletters.  Thank you for your notes. It's nice to know you're listening and finding something interesting.  Ideally you read something to spice up your life and enlighten your awareness. 

My vision is to help everyone explore, awaken to and illuminate purpose for being.  It's amazing to serve in this capacity. 

The love of my life, Raymond, and I are progressing forward with our plans to marry.  Can you hear the romantic music in the back ground?

In late February we ventured on foot into Sequoia National Park. The park is near my home-office in Three Rivers, CA.  Feburary is the mating season for the newts and we had the fortune to see a couple. Below are few photos of the Newts and where they live.

Reframe Your Self-Talk

 

Does your self-talk need an overhaul?  Do you talk to your self with a voice of "uplift" or "belittlement"? Maybe there are certain times you experience the supportive inner voice and other times you hear the "inner meanie".  Can you pinpoint the scenarios when you're in each mode? 

 

For example, after you have an external dialog which seemed to be confrontational, you may have experienced internal remorse and shame over the personal exchange.  Hence, inner voice says, "You dummy, why did you say it like 'that'!"  Another way to see it, and to say to yourself is, "I shared my ideas and feelings in the best way I knew how and I give myself credit for speaking out." Or, "Maybe that wasn't the best way I could have presented what I had to say... I'll do better next time."

 

Notice your internal scripts. You can replay or reframe your memories. Look for repeating patterns you'd like to change. Freeze the frames.  Check yourself and give yourself more credit.  You're moving along your perfect path at Life University.  Notice how you are actually advancing at this thing called Life.  Sure, there are set backs every now and again AND I encourage you to keep it all in perspective.

Re-Do Follow-Up
In my last issue I briefly explained the process of Rational Emotive Therapy and used an extremely upsetting example in my own life.  I was asked to "Re-Do" a paper I submitted at school.  To me that represented an "F".  I'm pleased to report -  I redid, resubmitted and re-received the completed paper.  Score? 95!!!  Hooray!
