Greetings!

Thanks to so many of you who wished me and Raymond a heart-felt congratulations for our recent announcement of engagement!  We're having fun brainstorming many options to exchange nuptials including how, when and where.  Of course I'll share with you what we choose to do.

I decided to do something that I didn't think I'd do.  I was fairly against the idea of it.  For a number of reasons I thought I'd always teach people to read hands in the flesh, in person.  Well, I initiated an experiement starting Jan. 11.  Six people are in the middle of my experiment, doing something I didn't think I'd do; teaching hand analysis over the phone!  Using my current student work book, with illustrations and a fair bit of associated verbage, the students are really learning!  Their feedback in the middle of the 11 week course supports the process of teaching beginning classes over the phone.  Last week we also used an on-line tool to see the hand prints over the computer with me pointing out the specific markings as they were taught.  From 'command central' all was successful.

Of course, much of the real learning comes from reading and touching naked hands. Implementing what is learned is pivitol to the process. There is an energy in the hands that ignites the intuition as well as the learned database.  So, it's true, hands can be read from photos, hand prints and live hands.  Also, just about anyone can learn to read and decode hands and fingerprints.  To learn more click here.

Thank you for sharing in my journey of illuminating life purpose around the world!  If you'd like a follow up reading, to delve more deeply into your interior life, do call so we can set up a consulation.  Imagine where it might take you.

Another Way to View "Upset"

Last month, Rational Emotive Therapy (RET) was one of the primary topics of study in the Spiritual Psychology Master's program I'm enrolled in. I'm getting a kick out of reading about and practicing this therapy because it points out how we humans maintain neurotic behavior. I love this because I'm learning that I'm not really crazy at all. I have successfully clutched to my share of emotional and psychological disturbances. How about you?

Before you answer, let me explain that this psychological strategy is designed to examine irrational beliefs, judgments and negative self-talk. One example of an irrational belief is:

"One must be perfectly competent, adequate and achieving to consider himself worth-while."

RET assists in the exploration of alternative points of view to promote a more positive approach to oneself and life. Ultimately, with the exploration, practice of seeing things differently and breaking free of patterns of negative self-talk, we create the opportunity for accepting responsibility for our beliefs and feelings.

In the example above, about the belief in needing to be perfect, a person strives for the impossible. Being perfect is impossible! All attempts to be fault-less may be considered neurotic. Larry, one of my students' recently pointed out, "We are perfectly imperfect."

The neurotic behavior can be clearly seen between the occurrence of a particular event (A) and the (negative) emotional outcome (C).

Kay's scenario:

Set up: I took great care, studied and spent an appropriate amount of time to complete a term paper for school.

Event "A": Term paper returned to me to redo

Outcome "C" (my negative emotional response): Great distress

To pinpoint the irrational thought or belief, I have to look between "A" and "C". I must freeze the picture and look at the stimuli between the term paper coming back to me to be redone and my distress. This is "B".

A                B               C

Returned Paper                                  Great Distress

Upon dissecting "B", my internal dialog and associated emotion, I realized that I placed tremendous worth on being perfect and being in control of the outcome of the grade for the paper. Of course I wanted 100% on the term paper. I not only didn't get a 100%, I was asked to redo the paper. To me that means "F"! My first big fat "F" - ever - in my entire life!

A                B               C

Returned Paper    REDO = "F"/Imperfect    Great Distress

By me holding to the belief (and illusion) that I must control outcomes and I must be perfect, I created a psychological disturbance (a.k.a. neurotic behavior). By recognizing it as it is, I can move into acceptance much quicker, take responsibility to see why the paper was returned and see it all in a new perspective.

Now, let's have some fun... while learning.

Immense Sensitivity, Great Compassion or Escapism? The Girdle of Venus.

Girdle of Venus
The "Girdle of Venus" is an old Palmistry term.  It was seen to give an added dose of affection to it's neighbor, the Heart Line, just below the "Girdle".  It was also called the Girdle of Love!

On a good day the owner can feel an exceptional amount of love, warmth and caring for others.  Compassion for humanity is the course of development.

On the path of feeling deeply for humanity at large, a deviation can occur.  During a bad day, the owner can become overwhelmed and excessively anxious.  Looking for a quick escape might be an easy answer.  On a bad day, the escape route can lead to unhealthy activities.

Balance and well-being happens when we use our bad days to show us the way to better days.  In this case, being aware of the various states of being and recognizing the resulting compassion and empathy for humanity can lead to elevated states of awareness.  This is a process of healing.  Full Article.

With love and gratitude, Lori Danyluk, Wellness Consultant and Hand Analyst

Christine GulrajaniKay is an insightful, organized, and gifted teacher.  She will hand you a comprehensive body of knowledge in one weekend that would take years to acquire, and she gives you opportunities to immediately put to use what you've learned so you retain it.  This is not a passive learning experience, you will jump in with both feet and even if you have never read hands before, you will walk away with everything you need to get started and if you are experienced, you will deepen your understanding.  Chrisstine Gulrajani, Professional Hand Analyst

Linda Salazar Hand Analysis

There are few mentors that I have experienced in my lifetime that have touched me as deeply as Kay Packard. She is truly in a class of her own. Not just because of her knowledge about the hands and how she delivers the information but her ability to make you feel so loved, cared for and that you're doing an amazing job during the learning process, is second to none.

When I completed her Intensive Level 1 and 2 I felt like I had a whole new lease on my ability to read hands. One of Kay's greatest gifts is how she languages the details around the hands which makes is so much easier to remember and apply practically. The small and intimate environment that she creates with her classes makes learning this unique and oftentimes challenging subject matter tremendously enjoyable and filled with enormous support.

If you're ready to jump into the world of hands than there is no one I would recommend more than Kay Packard!
