Dear
Next month will mark two years since leaving corporate America after 23 years. I actually quit the job although some like to say I retired. I actually didn't retire because I have no pension and received no special pay or pin for leaving.
In 2007 I took a six month leave of absence to experiment with the idea of leaving my 'safe', 'high-paying', career with 'benefits' and 'bonus packages' where I offered 'value'. During that 6 months I fine tuned my exit plan. However, a month before my return I was overcome with palpitating panic at the thought they wouldn't take me back! The 'desire' for a regular pay check and a routine got the best of me - temporarily.
My plan to quit in Oct. 2008 took a U-turn when the market plummeted. All other exit plan milestones had been met for a smooth departure. When mentioning, to some people, the 'idea' of leaving during such a time, I was met with eyes of shock and words of grave fear. Others said "Go for it". While my 401K was evaporating and the trend was worsening, my inner voice was screaming "ITS TIME TO LEAVE!" I listened to that voice get louder and louder between Oct. 2008 and Mar. 2009.
Along with the relentless interior voice, my friend Pam told me a story that was pivotal in my final action. During some number of years of kayaking she would walk around the most treacherous "Suicide Falls". Other kayakers would whiz through the rapids. The fear had gripped Pam. Finally, courage took her over the falls. She told me it was great fun and that her fears were all for not.
To this day I have hardly looked back. 'Safe', 'high-paying', 'benefits', 'bonus package' and 'value' are all perceived differently. The life I'm living now is far richer and exceedingly fuller than I had expected.
Ingredients for success:
#1: Tune 'in' and do what feels best in each segment of time
#2: Remain focused on abundance
#3: Observe and be surrounded by people who are thriving in meaningful living
#4: Breathe

Tap into Emotional Clarity
with Kay Packard
If you have eight loops (see article on loops) on your finger tips, maybe seven, you are the Lover. The Lover is enrolled in a Life University program to experience a full range of feelings, fully and completely, in the moment with the appropriate intensity regardless of the perceived response of another.
These loop patterns on your fingerprints equate to a Life of Love with emotional upheaval and penetrating clarity.
Emotional clarity results when one's own feelings are registered, experienced and released. Clarity can only be recognized after going through the opposite of clarity. The opposite of clarity is ambiguity, uncertainty and doubt. This can trigger rant and rave. It's usually easier for the Lover to stuff the feelings deeply; to tuck them away as you would with something you don't want to look at, but can't let go of.
I was just explaining this process to Snowflake Logan who is 9 years old. Logan has enough loops to qualify for the life-program of Love. I asked Logan if he had something he didn't want to look at, that he has tucked away. With widened eyes of fright he answered: Gollum!
Gollum is a creepy character from the movie "Lord of the Rings". Gollum is scary and hardly trustworthy but there is a legitimate reason to pay attention to him (in the movie). To my 9 year old listener I explained the value in looking at and processing the uncomfortable feelings. He said. "I am not going to move beyond Gollum. I'll never look at him again!" Yet, Logan won't throw Gollum away.
The Lover on the master path is one who stays present with his/her feelings and allows them to flow - no matter how terrifying it may seem. There is a "Logan" in all of us who will develop. Tools and practice helps.
"Tapping" is a tool that can help release the scary feelings - fear, anger, excessive grief, panic, dread, pain and more. The first part of the process is to address the 'hard stuff', to feel it, to find it in your body, then to release and replace with the favorable. You can replace feelings and thoughts that no longer serve you.

"The eternal Guru is the road itself. Once you realize that the road is the goal and that you are always on the road, not to reach a goal, but to enjoy its beauty and its wisdom, life ceases to be a task and becomes natural and simple, in itself an ecstacy."
