Hello again,
My plan was to send you some great nutrition info about gluten - there's a lot of hype about it these days... good for you...bad for you? Lots to learn...
But you have to wait for next month's email to get the scoop on that. See below for the VIDEO INSPIRATION that diverted my plan (it's that good, and will make you laugh too).

"I can do anything better than you."
When I was younger, my mom gave me a framed note that said "It's all a matter of attitude." I think given my teen angst I only found it frustrating, and assumed it be a reference to my permanent snarl (yes, I had some bite when I was younger - sorry, family!) Still the thought has always stuck with me, and more and more I realize how we create our own perception.
We all have stories that we tell ourselves about how our life is, or how it's going to be. So we can choose to tell a negative story that keeps us upset and stuck, or we can tell a positive story that allows for confidence and growth. The thing with confidence is that it may not always be there... but the good news is, it doesn't have to be. My motto... fake it till you make it. You think I'm healthy & confident? Ha! I guess I'm a good actress :) Ok, that's only true to a point (though I did take an acting class once - I do a great melting chocolate imitation) because the 'faking' it brings about the 'making' it. I'm sure this isn't news to you, but it a good reminder: believe it first, and then it can happen.
And if you don't believe me, this little powerhouse might convince you. An amazing client (& stylist!) Rebekah, clued me in to this fabulous video. YOU'VE GOT TO WATCH THIS SHORT VIDEO! 'little girls daily affirmation'. (love the body language too - she's got it down! Either that or she's on speed :) and apparently she can do anything better than us.... she convinced me though. I wouldn't want to go head to head with her in a competition!)
IMAGINE IF YOU STARTED EVERYDAY LIKE THIS?? (did you watch the video?) IMAGINE IF WE ALL DID? What a happy world it would be!

Other ways to build confidence.
EAT WELL. When we eat well, we fuel not only our bodies, but also our brain! Food fuels our thoughts. So if you eat crap foods....guess what you feel like? :)
How many veggies did you eat today? Consider that half of your plate should be filled with plant foods: some cooked, some raw. And don't forget the protein & fat. Need more? Starches like rice, sweet potato or corn will add nutrient rich substance. Eating enough is key... if you don't eat enough of the good stuff, how can you expect your body to function at all, let alone functioning with ease & happiness?
