HOW BUSY ARE YOU?

Greetings!
We all know that we're getting into the really busy time of year. At least with the holidays, right? But here's hoping you're getting busier in the area of construction projects, which would really make our holidays brighter!  Southwest Breezes is full of news this month - hope you enjoy, and don't forget to share it with your colleagues.

Often our Southwest Region Chapters see their lowest turnout at monthly meetings during this period. Yet many of our Chapters also undertake special outreaches to the community and to the less fortunate during this time as well. Why not make an extra effort to support the Chapter and these worthy projects with your attendance and gifts?

 and gifts
Sincerely,

Dave Bishton, RA, CSI, CCS

CALLING ALL WRITERS

This month I decided to discuss an opportunity for professional development which many individuals overlook, but which, when pursued, can provide great personal and professional satisfaction.  The activity that far too few of us undertake is the chance to write.

The reason that I am writing about writing is that CSI is full of members with great expertise in many areas; yet getting them to disseminate their knowledge on paper can be like pulling proverbial teeth.  To prove my point, just approach your chapter or region newsletter editors and inquire if you can write an article for the next issue.  Stand back and watch them salivate like...like what?
