Continuing to make it new...

Greetings!

The Southwest Breezes is now the name of our website as well as this monthly reminder. Links from this e-mail will take you directly to a new Region website at http://southwest.csinet.org, where articles, educational information, reports, and archives will permanently reside. Bookmark it now and get to know more about the Southwest Region and its Chapters by starting right here...

Sincerely,

FIRST IMPRESSION

When you see the Home Page at http://southwest.csinet.org
you'll recognize the familiar Southwest Breezes picture on a page that should look very familiar if you frequent the Institute home page. It is, in fact, closely linked technologically for seamless transitions from Institute to Region pages.

Information and pages are subdivided largely into 3 main categories:
 Connect with CSI
Stay Informed
Get Involved

In addition, the center index tabs under the picture link you to 4 important sources of unique Region information: Upcoming Events, News, Southwest Breezes, and Photos. More about these below.

If you ever need to manually type the Region homepage address into your browser, remember to NOT use the "www" prefix.
BASIC INFORMATION       650,000 SQ. MILES!

Need to get the facts about the Southwest Region (including its land area - weird, huh)? Check out the link to About the Southwest Region. You'll find contact lists of the current Region Officers, Region Committee Chairs, and even charter dates of our 8 Chapters.

Each Southwest Region Chapter has a capsule description on this page with links to its website and contact information for its President. Click Pikes Peak Chapter if you need to know CSI happenings in Colorado Springs.

About CSI links you to the Institute home page, and Join CSI takes visitors to where they can find details for joining CSI and directly fill out a membership application.
CALENDARS & EVENTS

Important Southwest Region events are described in list format in the Upcoming Events window in the center of the Home Page. Clicking on any of the event links, like Eco El Paso will take you to a capsule description of the event and links to web pages with even more info.

An Institute Calendar and a monthly calendar dedicated exclusively to Southwest Region Chapter Events can be found in the Get Involved section on the right side of the Home Page. If you travel around the Region, it's great to know who's meeting when and where - maybe you can time it to visit another Chapter meeting..

Read President Ron Geren's motivating initial message of the new fiscal year and find other recent messages.

 More to come next month...
