Bishop Curry photo

This week's Please Note features some background information and a performance of an original song written by the Rev. Joseph Hensley called "Let Us Go to Galilee."  This is a song and a theological statement worth listening too.

Keep the faith,
+Michael

The Shepherd's Table Is Set in Raleigh

The Shepherd's Table Soup Kitchen is an independent nonprofit 501(c)3 organization located at Church of the Good Shepherd in downtown Raleigh. Since its founding by parishioners in June 1980, the organization has been committed to serving a hot, nourishing meal to each individual who walks through the door, no questions asked. Volunteers serve meals to 300 or more hungry guests from 11:00am until noon Monday-Friday.

The kitchen welcomes volunteers 13 and older. Due to enthusiastic community support (over 3,500 volunteers during 2011), the Shepherd's Table schedules volunteers two months in advance. To schedule a time to volunteer or to find a list of current donation needs, visit their website here
