6,000+ Homes Damaged/Destroyed, Over 5,000 in the Diocese North Carolina

Episcopalians Can Help

Watch the Bishop's Message (5 min)

This week's Please Note features an interview with a group of volunteers, including Don Finkbeinner, a member of Christ Church, Raleigh, who is involved with the Wake Interfaith Disaster Team. The organization provides volunteers from participating faith communities and provides training for volunteers.

The Diocese is asking congregations to appoint one person in their congregation as the Disaster Response contact and to inform the Rev. Catherine "Cathie" Caimano or the Rev. Canon Michael Buerkel Hunn of that contact. This is for the most recent disaster, but also for preparedness for future disasters. Also, please fill out a Congregational Skills Assessment form to determine where your congregational strengths might be in an emergency ot disaster.

Keep the faith,
+Michael

But, in true Falcon spirit, the college worked to restore a sense of normalcy in a matter of days after the storm. St. Augustine's is an Episcopal College and Diocesan Institution.
