Heapy Engineering's Building Commissioning Services continues to rise in Consulting Specifying Engineer Magazine's Annual Ranking of MEP and Commissioning Services firms. 
 
For 2010 Heapy Engineering was listed as the #5 Commissioning Services firm in the countryIn addition, Heapy Engineering was ranked 30th among the nation's MEP designers.

Opening of Kettering Medical Center's Heart Hospital 

KMC Heart Hospital


Congratulations to the Kettering Medical Center and the entire design and construction team on the grand opening of the new Benjamin and Marian Schuster Heart Hospital. 

The $77 million, 145,000 SF, six-story facility opened in October. 
 
The project team included:

Architect: LWC Inc
Mechanical-Electrical Engineer: Heapy Engineering
Structural Engineer: Shell + Meyer Associates, Inc.
Civil Engineer: Norfleet, Brown & Petkewicz, Inc.
Interior Design: Jain Malkin, Inc.
Contractor: Danis Building Construction

The project received an
ABC 2010 Excellence in Construction Award of Merit.

The ongoing evolution in building code upgrades will continue to push the envelope (literally) on energy efficiency for building construction and operation.  Although the pace of these changes may seem to happen faster than you can keep up, they certainly are not yet the most aggressive energy codes already in use around the globe.
