Program Update

This school-year some truly great connections have been made between schools, educators, students, and volunteers and as the year continues more of these relationships will continue to develop.

Make A Difference - Wisconsin provides the framework and is a conduit for the classroom connection but you the volunteer are the engine that makes it all work.  Sharing your stories, experiences, responding to questions, and not only hearing students comments but truly listening and explaining concepts in ways that make the material relevant to their day-to-day lives is what engages a class and helps them to understand that you care and that the information you are sharing is important.  Your personal style and delivery are what makes this program exceptional and we encourage all of you to continue finding ways to elaborate on the curriculum to connect with students in each unique class you encounter.

For those of you still looking to deliver the program this school-year we have a variety of openings at Bay View, Bradley Tech, Genesis, Milwaukee Hamilton, Lad Lake Synergy North, Lady Pitts, and Northwest Secondary. For more detailed information on each opportunity click here or contact Kathie Yaeger Volunteer coordinator at (414) 273-8101 or kathie@makeadifferencewisconsin.org
