VOLUNTEER NETWORKING EVENT!

Reminder, the first MAD-WI volunteer networking event will take place TOMORROW Jan 12 at Stack'd Burger Bar in Milwaukee's Third Ward beginning at 5:30pm.  Hope to see you there!

Classroom Incentive

Thanks to a generous donation from the Milwaukee Bucks, MAD-WI has several pairs of tickets for upcoming games which can be used as rewards for student participation and improvement.  Tickets will be provided in volunteer materials in the coming months and for those of you currently delivering the program who would like to use this resource please contact Dan Schiller at the MAD-WI office to coordinate pick-up or delivery.

January is National Mentoring month and we at Make a Difference - Wisconsin would like to take this opportunity to recognize the importance of the example you set and knowledge you instill in the youth that you connect with in the classroom.  Your patience, experience, and understanding continues to shape a better future for so many in our community.  Sincerest thanks for your dedication! 
 
Volunteers are needed this Thursday and Friday (AM) for Pulaski.  There are also open volunteer opportunities beginning the 1st week of February: Audubon Tech. (1 session/week 45 min. in the late AM and early PM), Washington IT (1 session/week 60 min. AM), and in mid. to late February: Custer (2 sessions/week for 3 weeks late AM or early PM).  Dates and times for both Custer and Audubon are somewhat flexible, please contact Kathie Yaeger via email at kathie@makeadifferencewisconsin.org or 414-273-8101 if you are interested or would like more detail.

Volunteer Training

Volunteer training will take place February 2, 2010 from 6 - 9pm, this is your opportunity to get a glimpse into how the program is delivered, how to engage students, and to ask any relevant questions you may have.
