CRITICAL FUNDS PRESERVED FOR THE SEXUAL ASSAULT NURSE EXAMINER (SANE) PROGRAM AND CHILDREN'S ADVOCACY CENTERS

Governor Patrick announced on Friday December 4th a FULL 1 MILLION DOLLAR restoration to the SANE program.
This would never have happened without YOU voicing your belief that sexual assault survivors throughout the Commonwealth deserve the gold standard response of Children's Advocacy Centers and SANE.
THANK YOU! YOUR VOICES MADE THE DIFFERENCE!
This means that SANE and Pediatric SANE services will continue as now provided across the Commonwealth and that child victims of sexual and physical violence will continue to have access to the high quality, comprehensive, and specialized services of one of the 11 Children's Advocacy Centers across the state!

The SANE Line Item 4510-0810 funds SANE, Pediatric SANE, MACA, Children's Advocacy Centers, and rape crisis centers.
Children's Advocacy Centers:
Provide
coordinated investigations and medical and counseling services to child
victims of sexual assault and severe physical abuse
Get sex offenders off the street
through coordinated, skilled, reliable and sound investigations with
specialized medical providers, including Pediatric Sexual Assault Nurse
Examiners, collecting evidence
Served over 6000 children in Massachusetts last year
