Sheard's Gristmill: A Nationally Registered  Historic Site
History right here at Tohickon Family Campground
Gerard Deegan (1946-2008), through his dedication and willingness to bring history alive, worked on getting National Historic Registry listing for Sheard's Grist Mill.  The mill is located at the entrance to Tohickon Family Campground, and was once the largest operating mill in Upper Bucks County.  At this time, the mill is not open for tours but we invite you to take pictures of the mill and one of Bucks County's longest covered bridges as its background.
Many of you may remember Jerry on your visit to Tohickon Family Campground over the years, as he was not only the owner but the best host a guest could ask for.  Last year Jerry passed on from pancreatic cancer, now he is a host welcoming guests of other sorts.  To recognize Jerry and join the fight against pancreatic cancer, all proceeds from our cash bingo nights will be donated to PanCan. PanCan is an organization that informs the public and helps fund research for pancreatic cancer http://pancan.org/
