| Joshua Roman's season of debuts |
2009-2010 is Joshua Roman's season of debuts as concerto soloist. The 25-year-old former principal cellist of the Seattle Symphony also continues as artistic director of the TownMusic chamber music series in Seattle where he will premiere a new sonata by Dan Visconti in June. Kirill Gerstein's SPCO, Chicago, Atlanta debuts

 Following a jet-setting summer at the festivals of Verbier, Aix-en-Provence, Lucerne, and Saratoga, plus concerts with Gustavo Dudamel in Caracas, 29-year-old Russian pianist Kirill Gerstein will perform a host of high-profile U.S. dates and debuts this season, including: - Oct. 9-11: Saint Paul Chamber Orchestra debut; Hans Graf-cond. (Shostakovich: Piano Cto. No. 2)
- Oct. 23-25: Detroit Symphony; Charles Greenwell-cond. (Rachmaninoff: Piano Cto. No. 3)

Inon Barnatan's Schubert at Lincoln Center
|
 This past summer, Inon Barnatan played at a number of U.S. festivals, including his Cleveland Orchestra debut at Blossom. Now the 2009 Avery Fisher Career Grant winner dons his curator hat for Schubert Ascending, a three-concert series with the Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center featuring music from the last year of Schubert's life, which the 30-year-old pianist also presented at the Concertgebouw and the Library of Congress. Barnatan's 2009-2010 season highlights include: - Oct: Beethoven Ctos. Nos. 2, 3 & 5 with orchestras in Oregon, Connecticut & Georgia
- Oct. 24: 92nd Street Y, NYC (Tokyo Quartet Beethoven Project)
