BDPA Sets Community SITES on Operational Security
WASHINGTON--Join (L-R) Rear Admiral Michelle Howard, Chief of Staff to the Director for Strategic Plans and Policy, J-5; Rear Admiral Gretchen S. Herbert, Director, Net-Centric Capabilities for Information Dominance; and Mr. Carl E. Brown, Jr., Executive Director, Center for Minority Business Development during BDPA's Regional Conference on Friday and Saturday June 17-18th, 2011. Pre-Register by June 15th.
National BDPA seeks to expand its SITES Program by hosting one of its annual regional community technology summits in the National Capital Region. Keynote presenters, industry sponsors, and panelists will discuss the latest infrastructure opportunities, technology challenges, career and work force development, and protecting personal information. Workshops are prepared for parents, teachers, and small business owners, along with graduate, undergraduate, and community college student members. Question and answer sessions will be provided. National BDPA's High School Computer Competition (HSCC) has grown to become one of industry's most exciting venues for local, regional, and national application development competition and camaraderie among talented high school students interested in our nation's Cyber and STEM initiatives. Top teams own bragging rights for their chapter, their community, and sponsors. Moreover, our student members capture funded internships, earn industry, ROTC, or BDPA Education and Technology Foundation (BETF) scholarships to further their education in our nation's leading colleges and universites.
