Tech Latino 2030 Legislative Forum June 22 & 23 | Washington, D.C.  BDPA-DC's next major chapter event is the annual Tech Latino 2030 Legislative Forum on Capitol Hill. Hosted by LISTA (Latinos in Information Sciences and Technology Association), our industry partner leverages this powerful forum to help accomplish its mission and achieve its advocacy goals and objectives on Capitol Hill. Talking points include, but are not limited to: Workforce Development, Broadband/Net Neutrality, Health IT, funding STEM Programs, and Hispanic Serving Institutions (HSI's). Latinos in Information Sciences and Technology Association is a national organization geared toward the advancement and development of Hispanics in the information sciences, technology, and the telecommunications industry. LISTA encourages technical professionals to achieve educational excellence, economic opportunity and social equity to empower communities through the use of technology to bridge the digital divide and help end poverty in less fortunate communities. Chapter Program Meeting Note: This event may supercede your local BDPA Chapters' June 2010 Program Meetings for the National Capital Region. NASA & AFRL STEM Collaboration Symposium
NASA Administrator Charles Bolden  | bdpatoday Dayton, OH - The Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL) and NASA Glenn Research Center (GRC) are pleased to invite you to the AFRL/NASA-GRC Historically Black Colleges and Universities/Minority Institutions (HBCU/MI) Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) Collaboration Symposium that will take place in Dayton, OH on 7-9 July 2010. The purpose of this collaboration symposium is to promote a long-term strategic partnership with minority serving institutions that further technical innovation and develop possible student employment opportunities.

All meetings and activities will be unclassified. Due to facility size, audience is limited to HBCU/MI faculty, students, and or administrative members.
