Lieutenant General Dennis L. Via, United States Army, serves as the Director, Command, Control, Communications and Computer Systems Directorate (J6), for the Joint Staff. He is the principal advisor to the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff (JCS) on all C4 systems matters within the Department of Defense. General Via  was honored last night at the annual Stars & Stripes Dinner during this year's Black Engineer of The Year Awards (BEYA) Science Technology Engineering Math (STEM) Global Competitiveness Conference.
