To close-out Black History Month, The Washington, D.C. and Northern Virginia Chapters of BDPA will co-host their annual HSCC Kick-Off and Industry Day featuring a Recruiters' Roundtable for senior IT Professionals. What every senior technology professional should know about new career opportunities (National Capital Region), industry certifications, and obtaining security clearances for Federal IT work will be discussed by industry panelists in an informal setting. This event is free and open to the public at DC Courts Office from 10am through 12 noon at 616 "H" Street, NW., Washington, D.C., 20001 in Room 613.

BEYA STEM 2010 Stars & Stripes Award Lieutenant General Dennis L. Via, United States Army, serves as the Director, Command, Control, Communications and Computer Systems Directorate (J6), for the Joint Staff. He is the principal advisor to the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff (JCS) on all C4 systems matters within the Department of Defense. General Via was honored last night at the annual Stars & Stripes Dinner during this year's Black Engineer of The Year Awards (BEYA) Science Technology Engineering Math (STEM) Global Competitiveness Conference.
