April 2010
Greetings!

Can we talk?

There's never been a better opportunity than our innovative new series: Four-Course Conversations. You're the first to hear about it, and we want you to join the conversation!

Also in this month's Connection, we recap last month's Annual Open House and Tour of Resident Homes and invite you to schedule a private tour.

Then resident blogger Marilyn Farrell shares a candid reflection on this past year since the death of her husband Jack and some comedic moments that came right when she needed them the most.

Enjoy!

Join us for Four-Course Conversations

If you're hungry for great food and good information, you won't want to miss our newest offering: Four-Course Conversations.

This two-day lunch series, scheduled for May 26  and June 23, is designed to help you explore many aspects of moving to and living in a community like Emerald Heights.

Our dining staff will delight you with a series of delicious small-plate offerings, while you and your tablemates sink your teeth into some of the meatier issues surrounding the decision to move to a retirement community and how you'll adjust to life in your new home.

With each course, a different resident table host will arrive and serve up a round of questions to get the conversation started. You'll also get a chance to grill our staff members and pepper them with your remaining questions.

Reservations Required

Reserve your place at the table-and a few for your friends. RSVP online by Wednesday, May 19.

Come for both days or choose the one that best fits your schedule!

and a time to heal

Have you ever had "one of those days" when nothing seems to go right? How about a year like that?

While I've been limping along since Jack's death last year, I realize I need to do more. I need to reach out for some support and try a new approach.

Click here to learn more about how an injury to my dear dog Nessie forced me to face some facts and feelings I've been trying to forget... and how "Doggie Depends" gave me a long-overdue belly laugh.

Visit my blog anytime. And if you have a question or comment, please send me an e-mail. I'd love to hear from you!

Pass it on! If you would like to share information about Emerald Heights with your friends or family members, we invite you to forward this e-mail using the link below.
