Resident Blog: My So-Called Retirement
|
|
Wow! What a Day!
I got to play hostess and tour guide on April 18, showing off the trail and my favorite parts of Emerald Heights. It was fun to meet people who have been reading my blog, and really fascinating to hear everyone's questions and stories. And I got out my camera and tried to capture some of the energy of the day. Click here to view a short slide show of photos I captured at the Open House. Or visit my blog anytime online. I added a little entry on the Open House. And I welcome your comments and questions by e-mail.

Hand-Crafted Quilts Created for Auction
The Emerald Heights' Quilters, a team of 14 resident stitchers, have created two storybook quilts for auction with proceeds to benefit Hopelink.
With more than 300 hours of quilting time spent to create these beautifully hand-crafted quilts, the charm and whimsy of Beatrix Potter and Tom Sawyer are captured in every stitch and rich color.
You can view these quilts online in greater detail here.
Silent auction bids will be accepted by e-mail until April 30th.
