Sing
with joy!
|
|

Is there a favorite song from the Gather 'Round Music CD
that your group has especially enjoyed singing this quarter, or this year? If so,
take time to share the joy by teaching it to your whole congregation! Ask
another Gather 'Round group to join you and sing it together before or during
worship. This is a great way to involve children in congregational life and to
help them share what they have been learning with others. Encourage parents of
younger children to sing the song again at home and to try adding hand motions, rhythm or instruments, and enjoy making music together.
The
following song from this year's Music CD is a fun way to remember one of this
quarter's faith themes, based on 1 John 4:19. Click here to listen to a clip of this song.
We Love
We love (clap, clap) because God first loved us. We love (clap, clap) because God first loved us. We love (clap, clap). We love (clap, clap). We love (clap, clap)
because God first (clap) loved (clap) us (clap). Text and music: Ann F. Price. © 1975 Graded Press; admin. by The

Fresh
summer options
|
|
During summer months, attendance
fluctuates due to family vacations, summer camps, and breaks from
rigorous school schedules. Teachers may feel discouraged if a
well-prepared session goes unused or if attendance is low. But
don't despair: the summer months can also be a time to try intergenerational
groupings, link worship with education, and involve the whole congregation in
learning! Click here to read all about "Summer Learning" in the current issue of Roundabout.
