The Food Network's production crew and host Guy Fieri filmed the segment on location around Memorial Day. Producers note airing schedules often change. "This is such an incredible honor for our entire Maine Diner family after decades of hard work. Words cannot describe how honored we are to have our story broadcasted to the rest of the country," Myles Henry, who co-owns the Diner with his brother Dick, said. "We can't contain our excitement which is why we are celebrating this event locally and are pulling out all of the stops. We want to share this achievement with the community that has supported us over the years!"
Henry says he has always been a die-hard fan of the show and loves how they highlight unique, independent restaurants that reflect distinctive regional cuisines. The Maine Diner itself pulls from its flavorful family recipes and coastal New England roots to feature many seafood-inspired classics like their seafood chowder.
