The Maine Diner opened a seasonal hub of its business "Greenside" in May, serving its delicious home-style food at the nearby Sanford Country Club on Route 4 in Sanford.

This marks the third season the Diner has served its renowned fare off-site from its home base on Route 1 in Wells. At the Sanford location a casual pub-style menu (not the full Maine Diner menu) with a full-bar is available daily from 9 a.m. until dusk. New offerings this year include breakfast sandwiches, a variety of wraps and club sandwiches -as well as on-site service to deliver food to golfers on course!  By dialing (207) 324-9712 golfers can place an order and our staff can hop in a cart and deliver it anywhere on course! Diners can also choose to eat at the club on the deck, or order food to go. The restaurant is open to the public; you don't need to golf to eat there.

Maine Diner to Appear on the Food Network's Diners Drive-Ins and Dives Show!

There is sizzling summer excitement at the Maine Diner as the restaurant makes a big splash on national TV in the coming weeks!

The Maine Diner will be featured in an upcoming segment of the Food Network's popular TV series "Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives" with host Guy Fieri.  The production crew filmed the segment around Memorial Day and the show will air soon.

Maine Diner Co-Owner Myles Henry predicts the show will be aired in the near future and said Food Network officials will inform the Diner about a month prior to the scheduled air date. Once we  get the magical date we will immediately post the information on the Maine Diner website at mainediner.com, and also on the Maine Diner Facebook fan page at facebook.  As usual, the Henry's are cooking up ideas for celebrating the special event when the show is aired!

Henry, who co-owns the Diner with his brother Dick, said. "We were always a fan of the show and loved how they featured unique, independent operations that reflected distinctive regional cuisines. Now in the midst of their 28^th season on Route 1 the Maine Diner is no stranger to success, having served more than 5 million customers. This year, however, the Maine Diner chalked up even more phenomenal accolades. They were chosen as the 2010 Maine Restaurant Association's Restaurateur of the Year Award; winning the New England Cable Network's (NECN) Best Diner in New England contest; being invited to become part of the prestigious 2^nd Annual New Orleans Roadfood Festival; and then being selected for the Food Network's highly-rated Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives TV Show. In the past the Diner has had an appearance on NBC's Today Show and multiple appearances on the ever popular Phantom Gourmet Show out of Boston.
