Maine Diner to Unveil Delicious New Menu Items Starting Friday, May 14

So many new tastes to try...Just in time for the Memorial Day Holiday!

What can we say...over the past few months we have been so excited by some of our recent successes such as 2010 Maine Restaurateur of the Year Award we were inspired to create some new menu selections to our repertoire of family favorites. See what inspired us in our kitchen and tell us what you think. Here is what we have in store for you:

Appetizers:

· Irish Nachos -Grilled Red Bliss potatoes, onions, peppers and salsa topped with cheddar cheese and then baked. Served with sour cream.

· Fried Assorted Veggies -A platter of lightly-breaded and fried zucchini, summer squash, peppers, mushrooms and broccoli. Served with Ranch dressing.

· Soup/Chowder Sampler -Choose a trio from the following: our Award-winning Seafood Chowder, Clam Chowder, She Crab Soup, or the Homemade Soup of the Day. If you are undecided what to order, or if you want to be adventurous, this item is for you!

Wraps:

· Chicken Cordon Bleu -

Fried chicken strips with sliced ham, Swiss cheese, lettuce and Ranch dressing.

· "Day After" Thanksgiving -Turkey, stuffing, cranberry sauce and lettuce.

Dinner:

· Lobster Macaroni & Cheese -Our famous macaroni and cheese laced with Maine lobster, topped with buttered bread crumbs and baked. Fantastic!

· Lobster Melt - The King of all melts...guaranteed!

To Your Health, and Other Items:

· Fruit Salad with Low Fat Cottage Cheese Plate.

· Enjoy Low Fat Cottage Cheese as a side order or as a choice with all dinner plates.

· Farmhouse White Gluten Free Bread will be available for any sandwich or breakfast order.

· We will be adding Parmesan Pepper Salad Dressing.

Did Somebody Say "Dessert?!":

· The "Maine" Indulgence -Homemade waffle topped with our signature Maine Blueberry Chip ice cream, Grandmother Woodman's chocolate sauce, Maine maple syrup and whipped cream.

· Ice Cream Sundaes -Your choice of French Vanilla or Maine Blueberry Chip with Grandmother Woodman's awesome chocolate sauce and whipped cream.

· Homemade Brownie Sundae -Choice of a plain or peanut brownie topped with Grandmother Woodman's chocolate sauce and whipped cream.

· Our wonderful baker, Amanda, is now working on a "gluten free" dessert offering...stay tuned!!

Here at the Maine Diner our menu was inspired by two of the most influential women in our lives: our Grandmother Doris Woodman and our mother Phoebe Henry who taught us the importance of family time shared over a wholesome home-cooked meal at the dinner table. Show your own dear mother how much you care by treating her to a special meal prepared just for her. This Mother's Day we will be serving two of our favorite family meals on Sunday, May 9 in honor of this special holiday.

Share some mouth-watering magic and make it a truly special day by ordering up our scrumptious Roast Lamb dinner with mint jelly for $15.95, or savor our delectable Baked Glazed Virginia Ham dinner for $13.95. Both meals are adorned with all the fixings that include a warm corn muffin with our melt-in-your-mouth honey-butter, butternut squash and your choice of potato.

With more than 50 menu items priced under $10 there are plenty of options to tickle the fancy of every mother at a price to match every budget. Doors open at 7 a.m. and breakfast is available all day as well.

NEW HOURS at the Maine Diner Starting May 1rst!

Come early, stay late and fill your plate!

The Maine Diner will be open on a new spring schedule starting Saturday, May 1, extending our hours for the upcoming tourist season.

Doors open at 7 a.m. daily. We are now serving until 8:30 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and until 9 p.m. on Friday and Saturday. Starting on Friday, May 28 we will be open every day until 9 p.m.

For breakfast, lunch and dinner we have you covered and are looking forward to serving you!
