Maine Diner Unveils Custom Ice Cream Flavor "Maine Blueberry Chip" by Shaker Pond Ice Cream
In a word? Phenomenal!!
Last month we were thrilled to announce our partnership with Shaker Pond Ice Cream in nearby Alfred, who is supplying us with their homemade creamy French Vanilla ice cream. But this coming month they have simply outdone themselves, taking it to an even higher level by creating a new flavor of ice cream just for us, one you won't find anywhere else: "Maine Blueberry Chip."
"When you marry mouth-watering vanilla ice cream, locally-grown native Maine blueberries and dark, rich chocolate chips you can't go wrong. Delicious doesn't even begin to describe how fresh and good it tastes!" Maine Diner Co-Owner Myles Henry said. "Of course it is the most natural fit for us to offer our customers the best homemade items possible, it is just who we are. But we are really excited about this unique dessert offering because it offers people a true taste of Maine, with berries freshly harvested from this area!"
Want to take it to the next level of dessert nirvana? Partner this gourmet ice cream with a slice of homemade blueberry pie for a blueberry double-whammy, or drizzle it with our own "Mimi" Woodman's homemade chocolate sauce, developed from a tried and true family recipe handed down from Doris Woodman, grandmother to co-owners Myles and Dick Henry. A cloud of real whipped cream will be the heavenly touch!

Please join us as we celebrate Easter with two holiday favorites!
We will be serving two of our famous home-cooked Easter holiday meal offerings Sunday, April 4th as we have done for the past 28 years.
It wouldn't be Easter without our savory Roast Lamb dinner with mint jelly for $15.95; or enjoy our delectable Baked Glazed Virginia Ham dinner for $13.95. Both meals are adorned with all the fixings that include a corn muffin with our delicious honey-butter, butternut squash and choice of potato.
Craving something different? We have more than 50 menu items under $10, and our piping hot coffee is just $1 a cup. Doors open at 7 a.m. and breakfast is available all day as well.
So come in with your family and relax in our warm atmosphere. Enjoy each other's company and leave the holiday cooking and clean up to us! |
