Photos of the Month - Sedona, AZ
|
When one thinks of the southwest images of red rocks come to mind, and when one thinks of red rocks, Sedona, AZ is one of the most beautiful locations to explore. The town is surrounded by a stunning array of red sand stone rock formations.
As Sedona is a magnet for landscape photographers, we have visited Sedona several times. This trip was the first time we were able to be there during the Monsoon season. As the thunderstorms rolled through the area every afternoon, the lighting on the rock formations changed by the minute.

Going Green - Bloom Energy
|
Each month we like to highlight information that we found to be interesting in the area of green technology. In the past the majority of the technologies that we have highlighted are in the development stage and show great potential. This month we are highlighting a company that has a product in production. That company is Bloom Energy. 60 Minutes did a great piece on the them and the link to the video is here. After eight years of research and testing with real world customers (Goggle,Coke, Walmart, FedEx, Ebay and others), Bloom Energy went public on February 24th of this year.
Currently they are working with large customers but the long term goal is to produce a small system that when combined with a solar array would provide 100% of all of your home's energy needs with out any connection to the utility grid. |
