Greetings |
Spring is here in Connecticut and there are many upcoming events we would like you to know about:
Somma Tool Company will be participating at the Precision Machined Products Association (PMPA) 2008 National Technical Conference to be held this year at The Westin in Indianapolis from April 26 to April 29. A key part of this conference is the Technical Member Exhibits, which will be held from 4:15 to 7:00PM on Sunday April 27th. We look forward to showing our products to many PMPA member companies that day.
After the PMPA Tech Conference comes Eastec 2008 which will be held at the Eastern States Exposition Grounds in West Springfield, Massachusetts from May 20-22. We will be in booth #5560. |
Combination Bar Puller Cut-Off Tool for CNC |
Last month our Tool Trends highlighted Somma broaching tools and the various new style broach tools and holders available this year for Swiss machines and CNC lathes. This month we want to introduce you to one of the many other new products available from Somma.
On page 85 of the Somma catalog 2008 (Click here to visit our website) you will find the new Somma Combination Bar Puller Cut-Off Tool for CNC. You can save a turret position and reduce cycle time with this tool - there is no need to index between cut off and pulling operations. A single screw adjustment allows the jaws to be set up and adjusted in minutes for the next job. One turn of the screw moves both jaws in or out exactly .100". Screw adjustment is infinitely adjustable as opposed to serrated designs that have adjustment limitations. The Somma Bar Puller Cut Off Tool will accept all popular brands of insert style cut off blades that are available separately. The tool can also use competitors' jaws and jaw fingers.
We will also include one Somma Polo Shirt with the purchase of a Somma Combination Bar Puller Cut-Off Tool for CNC. |
