ASBP To Present at Annual AABB & TXPO

The ASBP is proud to announce its participation in AABB's annual meeting and TXPO 2008 held in Montreal, Quebec, Canada on October 4-7. Each year thousands of medical professionals attend this meeting to learn the latest in blood banking, transfusion medicine, and cellular and related biological therapies. The ASBP will be presenting on the topics of Humanitarian Relief Operations, Theater Operations of the Blood Support Detachment, Efficacy of Frozen Red Cell Usage, Research and Development, and Strategic Communications.

New ASBP 'Platelets' Campaign

As blood donations tend to decrease during the holiday season,  blood supplies reach alarming low levels. In an effort to combat shortages and increase the support of our men and women in uniform and their families worldwide, the ASBP is launching a new campaign with a focus on platelets. Many thanks go out to the dedicated donors at the Pentagon Blood Donor Center who participated in our photo shoot on 15 September 2008. Please stay tuned for the launch of this campaign in the coming weeks.
