Did you know that the acronym AIDS is often used incorrectly? In written communication many people will use lower-case letters, however this transforms the meaning of the word into 'aids' as in "she aids the patient." AIDS stands for Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome and takes on its true meaning when all letters of the acronym are capitalized. Generally speaking, aiding someone in need is always a rewarding experience, often for all involved. It's even more rewarding when someone aids someone with AIDS. | |

Sordid Sighs Are Over
Much awaited show is here
 Last night singer-actress Olivia Newton-John appeared on Entertainment Tonight to share her glowing thoughts on the new show, Sordid Lives: The Series, airing on Logo July 23, 2008. Newton-John has appeared on ET many times but this time she is a newly wed and also shares about her new husband.  Del Shores, writer/director of Sordid Lives and his partner Jason Dottley, starring in Sordid Lives: The Series, are this year's honorary co-chairs for LifeWalk. LifeWalk is proud and honored to have Del and Jason on board this year! Their constant commitment to give back and support community give them honorary titles carte blanche!  Please mark your calendars for the airing of this long awaited and anticipated show, but be sure to wear your flats as you prepare for gut-busting laughs! The once-in-a-liftime cast includes Bonnie Bedelia, Beth Grant, Leslie Jordan, Rue McClanahan, Olivia Newton-John, Caroline Rhea, Rosemary Alexander, Newell Alexander, David Cowgill, Jason Dottley, Sarah Hunley, David Steen and Ann Walker.

 Green Team Pool Party
The Green Team invites you to come have some fun in the sun! This is Green Team's annual pool party to benefit AIDS Arms Life Walk and is the team's 17th year to participate in the LifeWalk. There will be food, beer, wine, and soda's for your enjoyment. Cash and/or check donations will be accepted at the door. Please make all checks payable to AIDS ARMS LIFEWALK. There will also be a raffle set up for you to purchase tickets.
