Poll Results

poll percentages

The Poll Results for how best to describe my artwork came in at 40% in favour of 'Bold, Vibrant and Energetic', with 'Traditional Painting with Oomph' coming in at 4%. 'Expressionista' came in at 16% and 'All of the Above' polled a decent 38%. 'None of the above' polled 2% of the votes.

Thanks to one and all for entering... and the only question left now to answer is, can I say 'Bold, Vibrant and Energetic' in Espanol?

Ciertamente! intrépido, vibrante y energético

Well, I asked, and I got answers. Loads of answers. As you may already know, 'Bold, Vibrant and Energetic' won it by a whisper....

It's raining cats and frogs at the moment and the road I live on has just been turned into a river. At this time of year, whether snow or rain, I regularly go into an organisational overdrive... trying to figure everything out. And so I would like to ask, to help lighten my load this morning.

I have created a survey with almost twenty multiple choice  questions. They can be answered in under three minutes but I'd appreciate it if you'd take a bit longer, and give it your full consideration. In return, from all the entries in my survey, I will pick out a winner, and this person will be rewarded with one of my paintings.  (I haven't decided which yet, but I will give the winner a choice of three.) The winner will be the one who offers the most insightful comment or good idea. I should point out that the winning entry will be chosen from their additional the comments and not by options in multiple choice questions. This is because I'd like  honest feedback, and it won't impress if you tick all the "excellent" boxes! For example, I am trying to guauge how many Calendars I should print.  Last time I printed 500, and I could have distributed three times that many. Does this mean I should print 1,500 or more this year?

So what other kind of questions are tormenting me?  I love the buzz  of exhibitions, but are they worth the huge investment of time and energy if most of us have no intention of buying anything (even a spectacular calendar). You see, I need a lot of physical help to work as an artist....and if I do these art fairs it means using up all my allocated personal assistant hours exhibiting instead of painting.  Does it make more sense to spruce up my website so that you can admire my pictures at home and I can be painting away at the same time?   Tell me now. I would really like to know what you think.

You have until March 5th to complete the survey. I will announce the winner two days later on March 7th.

Thanks for your help,

I haven't yet decided which three paintings will be offered to the winner, but I know it won't be this one, because it is not yet finished, or is it? What do you think of this painting of Carrownisky Beach, Co Mayo?
