Greetings!
I have a spectacular guest to launch my forthcoming exhibition. I am so excited that, even though this person confirmed weeks ago, I want to keep it a mystery for a little longer. And now, like my friend who bravely organized a surprise birthday party for her flatmate, and was so intent on keeping it secret, she neglected to invite any guests, I am in real danger of forgetting to tell you who it is.
I have no idea why I have taken this approach, except that I am delighted to have this guest, and I want to have some fun with you.
And you know something? My special guest can really keep a secret too. A recent announcement that a major career move was afoot took everyone by surprise.
Not a stranger to a competition, have you guessed yet who it is?
Here is the clue (if you haven't already got it with the big hint above). Regarding the dramatic career move, will it now be a question of more questions than answers? Let's just say it's never too late to show interest.
The prize will be awarded to the first person that names (by
email) my special guest, who will launch my exhibition at Tinakilly
Country House Hotel on May 10th.

And yes, there is a prize for the winner - a specially designed T-shirt, celebrating "Paintings From a Thousand Days" as well as one of my 2010 calendars (when they are printed a little later in the year).
And there is a prize (another T-shirt) for the most ludicrous wrong answer (perhaps for those of you outside of Ireland who haven't a clue who I am talking about).
