Tim Florian Horn moves to California Academy of Sciences, San Francisco
Horn will join the Visualization Studio at the California Academy of Sciences in fall 2010 as Producer for Earth and Climate Science Visualization. He will contribute to numerous projects and programs for the Morrison Planetarium and other areas of the Academy. He has expertise in fisheye videography and fulldome production techniques.

Antares Fulldome to release MOLES in Jan 2011 --
Antares FullDome Productions and Mediúscula present the animated show "MOLES" for digital dome exhibition. "MOLES" is targeted to entertain children and awaken their interest in astronomy and nature. Watch the preliminary trailer here.

The annual SATE Conference given by TEA (Themed Entertainment Association) will explore new high-profile, immersive guest experiences with top creators at theme parks and museums, including Universal Studios (Harry Potter), the new Fort Worth Museum of Science & History, The National World War II Museum in New Orleans (Beyond All Boundaries) and Walt Disney Imagineering. IMERSA has a cooperative relationship with TEA.

ASTC Annual Conference

October 6-8 -- Honolulu, Hawaii
Hosted by the Bishop Museum
Presented by the Association of Science Technology Centers, conference topics include Hawaii's sky connection; cultural connections to the sky; science visualization/planetariums of the future; audience engagement: live presentations in the Dome; and a vendor showcase. Participants will also be given a tour inside some of the premier observatories atop Maunakea and dine with astronomers at the 9,000 ft. elevation level.

Post-conference event:Digital Full-Dome Film Festival at 'Imiloa Astronomy Center 5-10 October including new programs from the California Academy of Sciences, Sky-Skan, Mirage 3D, Evans & Sutherland, AMNH, and more. Pre-registration and separate admission required.
