At a book signing recently, I met a boy (in spirit) who came to visit along with his Golden Retriever (also in spirit). After receiving a message from the young man, his grandmother told us all that her grandson, who had died only weeks before, had been buried with the dog whom he loved. Right there, in an independent bookstore in Pasadena, California, a family, separated by death, was brought together again.
I try explaining to bookstores that my signings are a bit different from most, but they often don't understand exactly how different until I arrive. At a bookstore in Huntington, NY, a grandmother in spirit came to visit her granddaughter who worked at the store. This visit occurred before the event while I was signing stock in the back of the store. What was especially touching about this encounter was that the event planner's mother was in the audience that night, hoping that her daughter would receive a message. What a thrill to have three generations sharing love - - at an independent bookstore in NY of all places!
While sitting in a coffeehouse in Denver, I heard from behind me, "Excuse me . . . are you that lady who wrote the book about spirits?" When I turned around, a girl in her late teens was clutching a copy of my book and pointing to a poster announcing a signing that evening. She asked me question after question while we sipped lattes.
Writing a book can be a very solitary experience. However, promoting a book is anything but solitary. One of my greatest joys in this endeavor is meeting so many new people and bringing them together with their loved ones in spirit. Because the book will now be available internationally, this allows me to touch more people with healing messages in countries I've yet to visit. I am immensely grateful for the opportunity to do so.
Other opportunities to share spirit communication across all boundaries is possible with technology.
