July 26, 2012

Greetings!

This will be my last posting for Education for Justice as I have decided to focus on teaching and some long-neglected writing projects. I want to thank each and every one of you for your commitment and vision to embodying, as well as educating for, justice in our church and world. Thanks as well for the tremendous response to the survey. I am confident the results will be put to good use.

A search for my permanent replacement is underway. If you or you know of others who might be interested please take a look at the job description here. The Center hopes to have a permanent director in place by October. In the meantime, I am pleased to share with you that Dianna Ortiz, OSU will serve as interim director. She can be reached at dortiz@coc.org.

As always, this posting offers some great resources. Please take a moment to review them! If you are not already a member please join us now! If you have let your membership lapse please renew now!

May God bless you and walk with you always,

Film Discussion Guide
Too often education on Catholic Social Teaching is written from the perspective of the privileged. This film, while still clearly created from a privileged context, creates a place for discussion from the perspective of those struggling to survive, specifically a six year-old girl and her ill father.
