January 5, 2012

Greetings!

May epiphany find you like the wise men: seeking Christ.

This Year's World Day of Peace Theme was "Educating Young People in Justice and Peace." The message from Pope Benedict XVI affirms the role of young people in working for justice, peace and the common good and urges public policymakers to create institutions, laws, and environments that allow young people to flourish. A handout/bulletin insert is available.

I hope you enjoy the first posting of this month's resources themed for Migration Week and Poverty Awareness Month. Next week be sure to check the site as an additional Migration piece will be available. Near the end of January look for a film review on Margin Call and more on Economic Justice for All.

The conference will include opportunities to visit the border areas near Tucson to pray and to witness firsthand the many ministries that now serve migrants. EfJ staff will be conducting a workshop titled "Transforming Hearts: Education on Immigration" at the event. For more information visit the Celebration Conference Website.
