Greetings!
During this time when we are called to be present to Christ's suffering, our faith reminds us to be present also to the suffering of the "least of these" among us. Our Budget 2011 resource helps us reflect on the ways a federal budget is a moral document as well as a financial one. Another important event ties in with this liturgical season-Good Friday is also Earth Day, and we are posting a thoughtful reflection on the link between those days.
We also look ahead to the Easter Season with a celebratory prayer echoing the Alleluia we will all be voicing in the weeks to come. In anticipation of Mother's Day, we offer a fact sheet on care giving and its consequences. Finally, we are excited to post a resource on the new film "Of Gods and Men", which we recommend highly as one of the best films we have seen.
Happy Easter to you all, Dr. Jane Deren The Education for Justice Team |
