A great deal has been happening behind the scenes these days and you will soon see the results of hours and hours of work.  Education for Justice has been upgrading it's web site and designing a new and improved interface for you. One new feature you may really appreciate is a login memory - once you login the first time and check the box, the website will remember your login for you.  No more password frustration. In the next couple of weeks we will unveil the new site.  Watch for a special posting soon.

Also, Education for Justice is pleased to announce an online workshop or 'webinar:' Tools and Resources for Integrating Catholic Social Teaching Across the Curriculum. This three-page resource provides the script for a guided meditation focusing on prophetic women of our time who witness to justice around the world. Resource includes script, highlights of needs around the world, original words and prayer.

Harvest Season: Communion Agriculture - Gardening
Planting Seeds of Hope October 4th is the Feast of St. Francis- Read & Discuss
Communion agriculture is "the process of growing, watering and gathering the seed every year helps me understand the mysterious transformation of the body of the seed as a parallel to the mysterious transformations of the body of Jesus. . .we plant seed and anticipate communion bread, and we gather for the Holy Eucharist to share the wine and bread, grown from the land. . ."

This two-page resource highlights the work of gardener, Andrea Ferich, and shines a light on the transformation taking place in Camden, NJ through her efforts.  Includes discussion questions and links to additional resources.

Climate Justice Statement
Climate Justice Campaign "World leaders must recognize the moral responsibility to focus on the poorest people affected by climate change."
The United Nations Summit on Climate Change took place this week in New York city. It was the biggest-ever gathering of political leaders to discuss climate change. A CIDSE delegation of Church Leaders, Bishops and experts called for leadership and a focus on the poor in climate change talks. This summit is a lead-up to negotiations which will take place in December in Copenhagen on the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change.  Read the statement issued by this Catholic delegation and learn about the Catholic Campaign for Climate Justice.
