Dear ,

What do you see when you look at the world around you? The ability to focus and gain perspective from a variety of points of view is a needed skill these days.  A gospel vision is essential and helps us look at situations from a variety of perspectives.  Seeing with a gospel vision can help foster hope, sustain solidarity and promote the common good.

The resources in this posting help us take a new look at the challenges before us and the need for a gospel vision.  May we see with new eyes and act as one body in Christ.

Please see the list at the left for our latest resources to support your work in bringing gospel justice to life.

Peace,
The Education for Justice Team

May: The Month of Mary
Flowers to remember Reflection
This reflection explores less traditional images of Mary, Mother of God, and of all mothers. The first section introduces Kathe Kollwitz (1867-1945), a German Expressionist artist who was devoted to creating art that honestly depicted the social conditions of her time. The second section features the writing of Peter Daino, a Marianist Brother, who writes about Mary, mother of sorrows, who finds the courage and strength to endure and support others. Use this reflection for prayer and discussion.
