Dear ,
Please join us in praying for all those who been affected by the earthquake in Italy this week. See our prayer below.
As we enter these sacred days of Holy Week we unite our prayers and thoughts with all those who suffer persecution, uncertainty about the future and crucifixion in the form of poverty or violence. We lift up the promise of new life.
We've got a great new line-up of resources this week. Please see the list at the left for new resources just created to support your work in educating for justice.

Weekly Lenten Reflection for Holy Week
|
|
A Journey into Sacred Space As we enter the last week of our Lenten Pilgrimage, we are called to wholeness as we partake in the events of this week. At the Last Supper, Jesus offers himself to us in a manner that integrates our spiritual and bodily lives: we are given the Eucharist to take in as an embodiment of the law written in our hearts, the new and everlasting Covenant. Prayer for Holy Thursday

Satisfy Our Hunger
We pray, "Jesus, in the breaking of the bread in the Eucharist, we remember your suffering and we acknowledge the hungers of so many in this world. Through our sharing in the Bread of Life, open our hearts to the needs of all. May this Bread become the bread of hope, of peace, of abundance for everyone in the global village..." Go to prayer |
The Eucharist and Bread for a Hungry World |

Reflection and Connection
Bread for the World reports that: "An estimated 963 million people in
the world go hungry each day. Each year, 3 million children under the age of five die
because they are undernourished. What does it mean to celebrate the Eucharist in the midst of a world in need? This reflection contains excerpts from a chapter in
Joseph Grassi's book, Broken Bread and Broken Bodies. It can be used on Holy
Thursday or any other day to reflect on the connection between the Eucharist
and world hunger.

A Prayer Service for the Time of Passover
|
|
Passover is April 9-15
The Scripture readings for Holy Thursday root us
deeply in our Jewish past: celebrating the Passover with the Jewish people,
receiving from St. Paul that which was handed on to him, namely the Eucharistic
banquet, and looking at Jesus squarely in the face as he kneels before us to
wash our feet in humble service.

A Global Way of the Cross
|
|
Multi-media reflection
This Way of the Cross takes us around the world, from Afghanistan to
Zimbabwe, as we explore places not only of great need, but also places of great hope and triumph. The words and images offer opportunities
to deepen our understanding and response to our brothers and sisters
around the world. We invite you to encounter the Cross around the world
and extend your prayers in hope of restoring and maintaining peace and
justice. Go to resource
