With the election season in full swing, we have prepared a variety of resources which we hope you will find helpful - everything from quotes, prayers and a PowerPoint Presentation, to lesson plans, issue backgrounders with analysis, and great websites. 

As citizens and disciples, forming our consciences is an important process in preparing to exercise the right to vote.

This ready-to-use PowerPoint presentation provides a companion piece to the  US Bishops' document, "Forming Consciences for Faithful Citizenship." The presentation includes an overview, quotes from the document, and  key understandings from Catholic Social teaching around citizenship.  It can be easily modified to meet your needs or tailored to your audience.

Lesson Plan 1: Campaign Ads and Ethics
Habitat Day For Critical Thinking & Analysis
This lesson plan invites students to look at the ideals of a political campaign and the ethics employed in the use of media ads.  Students will chart ads and determine impact and persuasiveness.  They will create their own original ads based on the needs of citizens and the values of Catholic Social Teaching.
