Register by May 8th and save $50 late registration fee. Nepali School in New Jersey Murray Hill Chinese School (MHCS) and parents of Nepali kids are going to start Nepali Language & Cultural classes in the fall of this year. Classes will begin on September 2010 and run through the school year until June 2011. FONNJ is enthusiastically supporting this initiative. We encourage kids and parents to be part of this volunteer run school.

Classes and Fees: Nepali Language Level 1 (under 8 year olds) at $150 per Year* Nepali Language Level 2 (8 plus year olds) at $150 per Year*
*Fees will be $200 / Year if registered after May 8th. Second sibling 10% discount is available. Cultural Classes will be offered at additional fee.
Important: Seating is limited to 20 students in each level. They are allocated based on first come, first serve basis.
Schedule: Language classes will be 50 minutes each session. Classes meet every Saturday between 12:30 PM to 3:30 PM except for regular school holidays from September 2010 to June 2011.

Buddha Jayanti Program, May 30, 2010 For the first time in New Jersey our Nepali community is organizing Buddha Jayanti (birthday) on Sunday, May 30, 2010 from 12 pm to 4 pm at the Activities include bhojan for monks, silent meditation walk,
puja ceremony, bhajan, children's arts and craft making sessions.
If your family would like to sponsor prasad/bhojan food for community participants for this program, please contact Dr. Tulsi Maharjan, 908-369-4318 email: tmaharjan@comcast.net.

BHUTANESE-Nepalese community CELEBRATES Nepalese New Year.
More than 75 Bhutanese-Nepalese community gathered on April 18, 2010 at the Lutheran Church in Trenton to celebrate Nepalese New Year.
FONNJ and SEWA International conducted a medical check up, small group discussion and distribution of household materials and computers. If you would like to donate any old computers. let us know. Digital Divide Project - Patan and Branchburg Rotary Clubs to set up computer labs.
 Rotary International is providing $16,100.00 grant to set up 5 computer labs in various schools in Patan. Community people and students will have opportunity to utilize this computer lab.
