Greetings!

The Seattle Jaycees and the Dream on Foundation have been offered a donation of over 2000 children's slippers.

 

We plan to turn around and donate these to the Ronald McDonald houses, Children's Hospital, foster children, homeless shelters as well as Dream On Foundation Families...

 

However we need your help! The slippers are in a storage unit in Auburn.

 

We need a truck and some folks to help move them. The truck must be at least 14'. We would love to move these slippers THIS weekend.

 

Please contact Crystal German if you are able to rent a moving truck, have access to a truck or just want to help out with manpower!

I will be attending the National Conference On Ending Family Homelessness  on February 7-8, 2008 at the Sheraton Seattle Hotel.

 

A represenative from the conference has contacted me with regards to needing volunteers for the conference.

 

If you are able to volunteer for a few hours during the day Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday or Friday. NAEH will give you free registration for the entire conference.  None of the volunteer opportunities are all day expectations, unless that is what the volunteer wanted. 

 

Tuesday and Wednesday would just be a couple of hours doing prep work and Thursday and Friday would be working the registration table, monitoring rooms, or other administrative tasks.
