The award-winning seafood restaurant Crab Cakes in Oakhurst is moving at the end of the month.
For over a decade the restaurant has delighted food lovers at their current location. However, numerous comments from people hoping to see more parking and the need for more space has prompted a move across the street to the much larger building currently housing Casa Velasco's at 49271 Golden Oak Loop.
Cosmetic changes on the interior and exterior of the building will begin around Sept. 23, with the targeted reopening slated for Oct. 1. An all new bar is planned to open on the second floor on January 1.
On another note of good news, Casa Velasco's will continue to serve the delicious Mexican Food for which they are known at their original Bass Lake location.
