Palm Beach Dramaworks by Gayle Jacobs 
 
Started in 2000 with a budget of $20,000, this small company is a success story!  The present budget of close to $1 million is without debt and their current space of 5600 square feet is bursting at the seams.  Because the space seats only 84 theatergoers, the number of performances has been increased by 33% from last year alone.  The plays produced are so well received that there are now 2100 season subscribers and productions will be seen by 16,000 very fortunate theatergoers this season.  In seven short years, Dramaworks has been nominated for 35 Carbinell Awards (the "Tony" of South Florida) and has won numerous other awards.  Dramaworks is currently looking for a bigger and better facility to accommodate its patrons and improve its technical capabilities.  Almost all shows sell out.  "Agnes of God by John Pielmeier can be seen February 22 - April  6 and "Benefactors" by Michael Frayn from April 25 - June 15.
